I've had my driver's license (B, for a passenger car) since I was 18 years old. I also have my own car to drive to work every day.

Knowledge Of Languages
Dutch - Primary
Dutch is the language I have spoken since the day I was born. I am proficient in this language of course.
I've been speaking this all my life.
English - Secondary
I see English as my second spoken language. The pronunciation of my words is sounding more American than British in English. This language has few secrets for me anymore and I therefore obtain it for 95%. But of course there are always secrets, within any language!

German - Additional
My German is less great in speech than my English, but I can understand German very well. I was also allowed to stand on a German exhibition a number of times.
German is not the greatest language I speak...
Hardware Knowledge
Hewlett-Packard Servers
Hewlett-Packard servers were the first servers I came into contact with. Especially with the well-known Proliant ML350 and DL380 servers. The most recent HP server that I installed was a tenth-generation model from HP (also known as Gen10).

Dell Servers
I have less experience with this brand of servers than Hewlett-Packard, and I am really referring to the internal hardware of the casing. Of course you are in the right place for the support on every type of server, regardless of brand! I simply have three years of experience with Dell brand servers.
I already have 3 years of experience with Dell servers!
Network Cabling (CAT / UTP)
Making CAT / UTP networking cables, the patching of networking cables from patch boxes or 19 Inch switches and other cable management. This should be no problem for me at all! Since the Horizon College I have been working with network devices and networking cables. My knowledge of WiFi is also excellent!
Almost 20 years of experience with UTP and network cabling!
Synology NAS Systems (With DSM)
Synology NAS systems equipped with the handy DSM software have absolutely no secrets for me anymore. I have been using those systems since the first appearance of these storage devices for networks on the market. I also own a Synology NAS in a RAID storage configuration.

Printers & Printing Solutions
From the installation and management of small to very large printers and from the old school continuous paper printers to the current Hewlett-Packard Color LaserJet series, scanners and even the configuration of HP JetDirect print servers. Here are a number of brands with which I have experience: HP, Brother, Canon, Epson, Xerox, Ricoh and Konica Minolta.

Raspberry Pi & Other Single Board Computers
Single Board Computers (SBCs) such as Rapsberry Pi's or for example Odroid are also in good hands with me, if I must say. I have had experience with these boards since the first day those SBC's came onto the market.

Mobile Hardware
Tablets and phones equipped with Android and Apple IOS also have few secrets for me anymore. Configuring and setting up is no problem. My personal preference? Android!

APC UPS Emergency power supplies
The installation of an emergency power supply by means of a so-called UPS is absolutely necessary for your company's servers. This device ensures that servers shutdown gracefully and on time in the event of a power failure. APC (from Schneider Electric) is therefore the brand of choice for me. I have often had these emergency power devices in my hands and have managed them.

Cisco Routers, Modems & Switches
I have already came early into contact with the Cisco brand in my studies at the Horizon College. I have also obtained the CCNA certificate from Cisco there. Routers, modems and switches, you can leave these devices to me!

Palo Alto Firewalls
I have been able to manage firewalls from the Palo Alto brand for more than two years from various customers. It is certainly not my strongest point because the Palo Alto devices are very extensive. I have had a one-day course about this brand and configuring and managing firewall products.

Linksys Network Devices
Installation and management of Linksys network devices is, like other network devices, absolutely no issue for me. Already during my studies at the Horizon College I did various tests with the devices of this brand.

Like the brand Linksys above, the Netgear brand has very few secrets for me. With years of knowledge and experience in the field.

Palo Alto GlobalProtect
With the Palo Alto GlobalProtect software I set up VPN connections to networks. Special software to be able to let users connect through Palo Alto firewalls to the local network (if set up right of course). It is similar like for instance OpenVPN client software.

Veritas Backup Exec
I have actually been dealing with the Veritas Backup Exec software since my work at CBG Connect. Backing up tapes and hard disks in RAID is therefore no problem for me with this software. Your data remains safe!

Linux Operating Systems
I already have several years of experience with Linux OS. Especially in setting up and managing virtual Linux and VPS / VPN servers with distros on these servers such as CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian.

I have been working with Microsoft Excel for many years and this software tool was used a lot throughout my career. This is the perfect tool for me to calculate and to create lists and schedules with!

Microsoft Outlook is the mail client software for me! This software therefore has very few secrets in terms of configuration, installation and management.

MicroStar
MicroStar is an administration software for both server and workstation developed by a small company from Heiloo in The Netherlands. For many years I did the installation, had the management over it and made backups of it. I also booked the incoming invoices once in a while. Occasionally I made an invoice or packing slip with this software for our company.

Broadsoft
Broadsoft is often used in telephone environments from the Dutch telecomprovider KPN. I have managed these systems throughout the years several times.

HIPIN
With the HIPIN software you can connect both Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Outlook and your CRM application to your Hosted Telephony environment. I have also been in charge of this. HIPIN is also been used by Royal Dutch telecomprovider KPN.

FL Studio
Producing music in my home studio has been a passion / hobby of mine for many years. I think I have been making music for more than 15 years in total. Different genres, from reggaeton to moombahton and also urban. I think it is a wonderful escape from the daily grind! #BeCreative

Knowledge Of The Web & Web Apps
HTML
HTML is the language I already learned when I was studying at the Werenfridus. Following on from Horizon College, I again received a training in HTML. Therefore I am completely capable of 95% of the HTML language. I have used this language in a lot of websites too. You are of course never too old to learn the remaining 5%! Of course languages like these will always get updated in the future.

CSS
Besides HTML, CSS is the language I have used to adjust the design of websites with. I don't want to say that I know everything by heart, because there are always new developments, but I have more than 85% knowledge of CSS.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
While I was working at Ambidex Promotions, I followed an SEO and SEA course for Google. Over the years I have deepened and taught myself more about this subject. In particular, I have studied the matter: "How do you get higher in the ranking on Google?".
More than 10 years of experience with SEO (organic search engine optimization)!
Search Engine Advertising (SEA)
I'm talking about Google Ads, or earlier Google AdWords. For this I have followed a course at Ambidex Promotions. Together with SEO, this is the ultimate combination to get higher in the ranking on Google.

Google Tools
To be found better on the internet you can not ignore the Tools of Google. The Google Search Console (formerly Webmaster Tools) for submitting sitemaps / robots.txt, Google Places, Google Analytics, Google PageSpeed, Google My Business, Google Re-CAPTCHA and the generation of API keys for these services do not sound strange at all to me.

SSL Certificates / HTTPS
Secure web shops are a must, and certainly in 2020! Several times I have secured various websites with SSL (also known as that little lock icon in your browser bar or HTTPS). Installation and management of SSL certificates is therefore no problem.

MailChimp & AVG/GDPR Law
For me, MailChimp is the go-to online solution for preparing and designing online newsletters per mail. I learned to design newsletters with MailChimp from my time working at Ambidex Promotions, with the artwork that I created in Photoshop myself. I also know a lot about the GDPR Act therefore (Dutch: AVG).
Experience with Mailchimp since 2008! And from 2018 with the GDPR Act!
Social Media Content
I mostly wrote social content for Facebook and some for Instagram. I managed various business pages on Facebook and Instagram over the years.
Eight years of experience in setting up and managing Facebook and Instagram business pages!
VPS & Managed Hosting
I can tell everything about hosting on my own VPS. For many years I rented several bare clean Linux CentOS VPS and cPanel servers. I have set up cPanel and WHM, among other things, and made sure that the server worked securely, also in terms of e-mail. CSF Firewall solutions, Greylisting from Spam, APC and OPcache caching, running and switchen to different PHP versions, editing PHP.ini, creating e-mail addresses and even editing SQL tables with phpMyAdmin and installation and setup of CMS's.
Almost 5 years of experience with setting up VPS servers and web servers!
Apache HTTP Web Servers
Apache is the ideal software package to deploy for me to set up web servers with. I have had experience in this for over 8 years.

WHM Servers
WHM is a graphical web-based hosting control panel that makes managing websites on VPS hosted (Linux) servers a lot easier. An ideal dashboard with many options, I have more than 10 years of experience with this server software.

cPanel (Part of WHM)
With cPanel I managed over 60 domains over the years. From installations of SSL certificates to the so-called 'Greylisting' of Spam, DKIM, Dmarc, SPF records and switchen / adjusting PHP versions for customers.

phpMyAdmin
phpMyAdmin is a free web application on web servers with which MySQL databases can be managed and accessed via a browser. I have had a lot to do with phpMyAdmin because of the fact that I have built websites. A must-have for every online SQL database!

Payment Provider Mollie
I have worked with payment solutions from payment provider Mollie for more than 5 years. A low-cost solution for implementing many ways of paying online for web shops with Mollie developed free plugins for almost every CMS. Think of PayPal, credit cards, iDeal, up to Klarna, Bancontact and SOFORT Banking.

PostNL & Other Online Shipping Systems
Offline and online shipping systems no longer hold any secrets for me. I have been doing this since my side jobs during my childhood vacations. From registering packages for PostNL to DPD and UPS by using barcodes via Zebra printers, I know everything about it. And if not? Then I can ensure you that I will find it out!

Warehouse Work
At Ambidex Promotions I learned to help out in the warehouse on busy days. I therefore find this kind of extra work no problem at all. I always like to help everyone and to put a smile on faces! I used to do this when I was younger in vacations as a side job as well. Postage, create shipping documents, preparing packages for shipment and put them on pallets, that's really no issue!
